Technological Threats VS Cyber security.
Exposure to technological threats in digital platforms has increased as their access benefits us with different entertainment spaces, free programs, downloads, information, procedures, among other aspects that “facilitate” our daily activities. The Internet is one of the channels most exposed to the theft of information and money through malicious programs and people.
That is why in organizations we receive recommendations to give proper use to business computers, avoiding opening links or visiting unreliable platforms, which can bring us viruses or hacking of information. The protection of our data depends on the responsibility and consent with which I access a virtual platform and the risks I am taking in every move I make.
Is it necessary to implement best practices to avoid these attacks? Yes. Cyber security allows us to take more control and be more careful in these digital spaces avoiding that third parties make improper use of our information, through effective tips such as: the use of passwords with little possibility of being revealed, the validation of accounts and users who send us emails and text messages. In social networks we must also control the information that is published and shared and that may be putting our security at risk.
Additionally, wireless connections, such as free and public Wi-Fi can be threatsthat abstract information, data, personal formats that harm us directly. For oursecurity, we must make use of reliable networks that go through cyber security measures to make use of them.
Cyber security as an information technology insurance overcomes technological threats, if we follow the recommendations and apply the suggested mechanisms, such as an updated and potential software, with which we can be safe and protect our information.
